** Beware this post has LOADS of photos** I got a bit carried away. haha

Hannah LOVES Buddy Valastro of TLC's CakeBoss. Every Monday evening Hannah and I crawl in my bed and watch her favorite show.

So it was not unexpected when she ask for a cake making kit for Christmas. Yesterday was the perfect day to dive into this cake baking adventure.

Testing the batter. She gave it a thumbsup!

Who knew it would only take 30 seconds in the microwave to cook? hehe But, then the cake is about 4" tall with both layers stacked. :O

Mixing up the fondant. Oh gosh! The hardest part eva!!

Rolling the fondant out. We found out the hard way that you should to kneed the fondant with your hands for a bit to warm it up. Then it makes it a bit more pliable and to work out all the little unmixed pieces of fondant mix.

Hannah, Mike and I ate this little time consuming cake. Hannah had a blast.

So today I am thinking about helping her make and *ENGAGEMNT* cake!! We were very excited to find out yesterday that my step-daughter Erin is getting married. Erin if you are reading this - remember it is a surprise! Hannah asked to make her (and Nicky) a cake. So, since we are having dinner with the NEW bride and FUTURE son-n-law tomorrow evening we should try to make another cake today. Yeah, we will.

What a great project! I would love to make something like that with my daughter when she's a bit older. I think next year when she's five will be the ginger bread house and decorating at Christmas.

Great job your guys did! We've come a long way since the Easy Bake Oven of the 70's Lol!
